JAN. 10, 2010, NORCROSS, GA … Citing the need to help move Gwinnett County in a positive direction and give the citizens a greater voice about the future of Gwinnett, Lynette Howard is seeking the office of District 2 Gwinnett County Commissioner, currently held by Bert Nasuti who decided not to seek re-election.

As the vice chair and District 2 appointee of the Municipal-Gwinnett Planning Commission, Howard sees a strong need to bring people together to find innovative solutions to Gwinnett County’s most pressing issues: public safety, transportation, budget and taxes, and water.

“Every citizen of this great county should trust the leaders that represent us to work together to move Gwinnett forward.” said Lynette Howard. “People throughout Gwinnett want action and I will work with Chairman Bannister and the other commissioners to uncover better ways to run the county.

Known for her fairness and ability to bring people together, Howard’s candidacy is a grassroots campaign designed to bring accountability back to the County Commission.

Lynette Howard serves as an appointee of Commissioner Nasuti on the Municipal-Gwinnett Planning Commission and currently serves as the committee’s vice chair. She is active in her children’s schools and is involved in her neighborhood homeowners association, serving on the board of United Peachtree Corners Civic Association (UPCCA) for over 12 years and as president for 6 of those years.
