“I believe Lynette Howard is the kind of person that we need representing Gwinnett County right now. She is not a politician, but a genuine community spirited, public servant who can be trusted to listen and put the people’s interest ahead of her own. She understands the role public safety plays in attracting employers, assuring educational achievement, and maintaining our quality of life. I can give her no stronger endorsement.”

District 2 County Commission Candidate, Lynette Howard is proud to receive the endorsement of Rosanna M. Szabo, Gwinnett County Solicitor-General.

“I have known Lynette for over five years, first through her activities with the UPCCA and more recently, as a Planning Commissioner. She has proven to have an honest and heartfelt concern for the welfare of our community. As a planning commissioner, she has been instrumental in our efforts to clean up the re-zoning process to require full disclosure of campaign contributions. As a commissioner, I have no doubt that she will conduct the business of the county with the highest regard for open, transparent, and ethical representation and be a commissioner of which we can all be proud.”

Republican Candidate Promises to Focus on Finding Solutions and Ensuring Citizens Have a Voice in the Growth of Gwinnett County.

JAN. 10, 2010, NORCROSS, GA … Citing the need to help move Gwinnett County in a positive direction and give the citizens a greater voice about the future of Gwinnett, Lynette Howard is seeking the office of District 2 Gwinnett County Commissioner, currently held by Bert Nasuti who decided not to seek re-election.

As the vice chair and District 2 appointee of the Municipal-Gwinnett Planning Commission, Howard sees a strong need to bring people together to find innovative solutions to Gwinnett County’s most pressing issues: public safety, transportation, budget and taxes, and water.

“Every citizen of this great county should trust the leaders that represent us to work together to move Gwinnett forward.” said Lynette Howard. “People throughout Gwinnett want action and I will work with Chairman Bannister and the other commissioners to uncover better ways to run the county.

Known for her fairness and ability to bring people together, Howard’s candidacy is a grassroots campaign designed to bring accountability back to the County Commission.

“I am running to make sure every person in District 2 has a voice in our government.” said Lynette Howard. “We should all get a say on where our community is headed and how we want to get there. I want the people to know how and why our tax dollars are spent.”

To demonstrate her commitment to the citizens of District 2, Lynette is holding the first of many constituent meet-and-greets on Saturday, January 23 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Norcross Depot (40 S. Peachtree St., Norcross, GA 30071). Voters are encouraged to attend and ask the candidate questions about her plans for District 2. Several more events will be scheduled in the coming weeks. Visit www.ElectLynette.com for more information.
